Revesby Abbey Ghost Hunt - Boston, Lincolnshire
Dark endless tunnels await the brave.

Descending deep underneath the ruins of Revesby Abbey is a very unsettling experience even for the most hardened ghost hunter. A labyrinth awaits you with dark uninviting corridors which are the stuff of nightmares and will certainly have you looking over your shoulder all night.

The first building to stand on this site was a Cistercian monastery which was founded in 1143 by the Earl of Lincoln and housed monks from the nearby county of Yorkshire. Records show that there have been several burials on the site as well as a number of deaths that were unexplained at the time.

After the dissolution of the monasteries in the 16th century, the Abbey was demolished, and a country house built in its place.

The current house is now a Grade 1 listed building and dates to 1845 and was once the home of Lady Beryl Groves. The house has been left abandoned and unoccupied since 1968 although the current owners who are renovating the house live in the stable block.

There have been so many reports of unexplained ghostly activity from footsteps with no one around, dark figures seen to watch you then disappear into thin air, monks chanting and doors locking unsuspecting victims in the rooms beneath the abbey.

Revesby Abbey is quickly becoming a paranormal hotspot and is gaining the reputation of being one of the most haunted houses in Britain. Will you be brave enough to venture into the basement or conduct a lone vigil in the dark corridors?
